About the Role You will be responsible for providing clerical services including maintenance of electronic and hard copy health records, maintaining databases and information management systems, filing and photocopying and ordering stationery.
You will also communicate with internal and external customers to obtain patient information as required. The work you undertake will be in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures, Medical-in-Confidence and Staff-in-Confidence standards. To be successful in this role, you will have: The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
Minimum of 1 year full-time experience as Health Clerk (or part-time equivalent). Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of medical terminology used by health care professionals (desirable). Demonstrated ability to work in a customer service focused environment (desirable).
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high quality care to patients. Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation and externally with a range of personnel. This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes a national police check as an essential selection component for this role.
