Modis is hiring Senior Project Directors with infrastructure background specifically into construction, upgrades and maintenance of Hospital, schools, universities for our government client Responsibilities Oversee infrastructure planning, construction and refurbishment projects to ensure that all project activities and gateway milestones are achieved within project and contract specifications are completed Direct project planning and delivery interfaces with service providers, design teams and building contractors while managing the projects specified time, cost, risk and quality framework to ensure effective project delivery. Implement and manage robust safety, governance, probity, risk, procurement and project gateway and reporting frameworks to identify, manage and minimise financial, reputational and program/service delivery risks thus ensuring effective program of work infrastructure planning, reporting and delivery. Develop and implement effective communication processes linking multiple programs, projects and delivery groups to enable clear tracking of project and contract performance, the early identification of issues and risks and the implementation of integrated and coordinated strategies and plans to resolve issues, assess the impact of changes and reduce future risk.

Manage program schedules and budget compliance to maximise the allocation of financial, physical and human resources, leveraging synergies and economies of scale to deliver maximum results. Escalate any major strategic or emerging issues arising from individual project management and provide timely information in response to internal and external stakeholder and Ministerial briefings information requests. Ensure all project management systems and reporting tools are effectively used to facilitate the availability of accurate and timely project status information.

Direct and lead reporting staff, monitor and review performance, foster ongoing professional development and ensure staff have the knowledge, skills and support to achieve their work performance objectives to drive high performance, best practice and continuous improvement. Key challenges Identifying and addressing new and emerging issues in a dynamic and complex environment where there are conflicting interests and opinions of a broad range of stakeholders that require monitoring and analysis. Being cognisant of, and managing, the emerging issues and interdependencies of multiple infrastructure projects at different lifecycle stages being undertaken by various project development and delivery teams.

Controlling potential for project scope creep, and implementing robust protocols which minimise the financial implications of any unavoidable and/or agreed scope changes, in order to optimise return on investment of infrastructure capital investment.
