What you'll be doing Perinatal, Child & Youth Mental Health Services (PCYMHS), Western Sydney Local Health District is committed to building a professional workforce that supports consumers with a moderate to severe, and persistent mental illness on their recovery journey. A vacancy exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist with interest in working full-time with adolescents and youth aged 12 - 25.
The ENABLE service will enhance our current community provision of mental health services for young people aged 12 -25 years who are in a crisis presenting to ED or are at a risk of hospital admission. ENABLE will offer early intervention, assertive follow up, comprehensive risk management and intensive outreach support for a period of up to 8 weeks in the community, during the crisis period following mental health ED presentation. The service will be available within the WSLHD catchment and will be run in collaboration with our Community Mental Health Teams, Education, Primary Care, GPs and NGOs.
