About the role As a Senior Systems Assurance Engineer, you will be deployed on either the Digital Systems Program or the Parramatta Light Rail Program.

The Digital Systems Program and Parramatta Light Rail Program are transformational and landmark infrastructure projects. The complex and challenging nature of the projects will allow you to develop and grow your System Safety Assurance career to the next level.
The Digital Systems Program will replace legacy Signalling and Train Controls with modern, internationally proven, intelligent systems based around European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2 technology. Digital Systems will help achieve the vision of the Future Transport Strategy 2056, enhancing customer experience with more frequent and reliable services and access to better real-time information. The Parramatta Light Rail (PLR) program comprises of an approximate 12km alignment from Westmead to Carlingford via Camellia and consists of a mix of both on-street and dedicated corridor.
PLR connects several key locations including the Westmead health precinct, the Parramatta North Urban Transformation area, the new Western Sydney Stadium, the Parramatta CBD, the new Powerhouse Museum and Riverside Theatre Cultural Hub, the Camellia precinct, Rosehill Gardens Racecourse, the private and social housing redevelopment at Telopea, and the three Western Sydney University campuses. About us The Infrastructure and Place division is in the process of delivering an ambitious and once-in-a generation $28 billion program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come. About you Ideally, you will have a background in the rail transportation sector, with proven understanding and experience of system safety assurance.
You will be familiar with system safety principles including: System safety planning and management processes on multi contract delivery model, including the development of system safety assurance plans. System safety hazard management. Knowledge and experience in the HAZID methodology is desirable.
