Our nationally leading R&D Incentives practice has over 25 years’ experience in assisting companies access the R&D Tax Incentive and Grants for technology-based improvements to processes, products and services. The role Our R&D Incentives practice in Melbourne is currently looking for suitable candidates to join as R&D Incentives Consultant with IT/software specialisation.

If you have a passion for IT, software and technology, ideally coupled with a degree in IT, law, commerce or accounting, you may be our ideal candidate. Working alongside experienced managers within our multi-disciplinary R&D Incentives delivery team, you will be responsible for assessing and documenting IT and software projects carried out by your clients, and preparing application forms and supporting documents in an accurate and timely manner. You will gain exposure to some of the most innovative tech companies in Australia, giving you exposure to game-changing technologies before they are released to the public.

Your key responsibilities will include: Interaction with key client stakeholders across a portfolio of approx. 20 clients. Attendance at meetings to obtain key facts about your clients’ R&D projects.

Communicate proactively with clients and team members regarding project status and client service opportunities. Information analysis and report writing - reviewing technical project documentation and matching facts to the R&D Incentive eligibility requirements. Financial analysis - analysis and calculation of qualifying expenditure incurred by your clients.

This role is suited to a technical business analyst, IT consultant or software developer with 1-3 years’ commercial work experience, who is passionate about their technical field of expertise and able to quickly understand technical concepts and write about them. New graduates or graduating students are also encouraged to apply.
