Group: Commodities and Global Markets Division: Central Recruiter: Rosemary Coleman If you’re looking to build your career in the rapidly growing Enterprise Data Management specialisation then this is a rare and unique opportunity. The Enterprise Data Management team within Commodities and Global Markets Group works closely with Data Officers and stakeholders across the business to identify critical data and develop a comprehensive data governance framework. As a capable business analyst, you will provide assistance and support with the roll-out of data management best practices across the various businesses in the Group.

You’ll be central to large change management initiatives, such as systems and process improvement, project implementation as well as qualitative and quantitative risk analysis and documentation. In joining the team, you’ll: support the Group Data Officer in the strategy and project planning for data governance processes and policies be involved in documentation and data element mapping across systems (definitions, validations, lineage and assessment of data quality controls) work to implement and embed the use of new data governance tools across the business assist with designing processes and templates to facilitate effective data management provide periodic reporting on data quality, including issue management and resolution support the stewardship and oversight of business data movements across all of Macquarie. You’ll need to possess a strong interest in the following areas - data collection and mapping and tracing data lineage; defining data quality and business rules, and an appreciation of data governance would be preferred.

We believe you will hold an appropriate tertiary degree and be PC literate. A high level of capability in Excel will be assumed. With your proven experience from working within financial markets, financial services, or management consulting, we’re also hoping you will possess some knowledge of financial products, although it is not a pre-requisite.

Strong communication skills will enable you to work with all levels of stakeholders and to quickly build relationships, which will be critical to your success. In addition, you’ll need a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise responsibilities in a rapidly changing environment. Being able to work both collaboratively and independently will be needed along with taking ownership for your work and accountability for results, all balanced by sound professional judgement.
