Mental Health Clinician –Adult Community - Grade 3 Part Time and Full Time Positions available Mildura Base Hospital (MBH) is a 170 bed (level 1) tertiary teaching Hospital. The Hospital is managed by Ramsay Health Care in a contractual arrangement with the Victorian Government. MBH provides public hospital services on behalf of the Victorian Government to the Community of Mildura and the Sunraysia District .

The Adult Community Mental Health Service provides an acute response and case management services for people between the age of 18 and 65. The Clinician’s primary role is to provide mental, social, and physical assessments, treatment and case management of individuals with serious mental illness. Applications are sought from suitably qualified, enthusiastic and motivated persons to work in the position of Clinician – Adult Community Mental Health Services (Continuing Care).

Full-time and/or part-time applications will be considered. Shifts are rostered from Monday to Friday during business hours. Opportunities exist for interested Clinicians to experience shifts in the Crisis Assessment Team Applicants will be Registered Nurses (RN3), Psychologists (PSY2), Occupational Therapists (OT2) or Social Workers (SW2) who hold registration with relevant professional bodies preferably with qualifications and experience in the Mental Health field.

A current driver’s licence is also necessary. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience within the mental health industry. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team are also essential.

The successful incumbent will also have a friendly manner and customer focussed approach and a commitment to appropriate community-based treatment of people with a mental illness.
