We are searching for Butcher candidates who can prepare, process, pack, dispatch Fresh Meat and other like products in a chilled environment and undertake other duties within the production room & warehouse departments. Our client is Australia’s largest privately-owned food service company, which was established in 1943, They now have almost 70 branches in metropolitan and regional areas around Australia. Our client has a broad range of customers such as local restaurants, cafes, hospitals, schools, pubs and clubs As part of our recruitment process, you must agree to undertake employment background checks.

If you cannot meet the minimum requirements, your application will not be considered: Preparing meat for sale by removing bones, trimming fat and cutting meat to shape and size Taking customer orders over the phone and counter Preparing meat cuts, marinating and seasoning Operating filling machines, smoking chambers, cooking kettles and vats Assisting in the operation of machinery to grind, mix, mince or tenderise meat Packing and wrapping meat Maintenance of pricing and labelling of products The purpose of this role is to maintain all stock in the warehouse and pick orders using safe manual handling procedures in an effective and timely manner.

This means picking and packing orders in a chilled work environment for restaurants, cafes, hospitals, schools, pubs and clubs. We all cannot be perfect, but if you do have the following experience, then in our eyes, you are the perfect candidate: Awareness of OH&\;S and Food Safety requirements Awareness of HACCP food safety program and the "cold chain" process in particular Ability to work autonomously and a part of a team on a production line Good at working to meet daily KPIs without compromising quality or safety Good knowledge of safe work practices Knowledge of the production process is preferred but not essential Willingness to participate in a variety of duties within the production department Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation Attention to detail with good knowledge retention Hours of Work: 38 Days of Work: Rotating shifts, or shift work Position Type: Full Time Rate of Pay: Award If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit your application (cover letter and resume) via the apply now link below..
