ChemCentre provides a comprehensive range of scientific services, working with a wide range of clients including Government Agencies, universities, environmental consultants, primary producers, exporters, retailers and the general public.
Through the provision of chemical information, advice and analytical services ChemCentre also mitigates risks to government, protect the community and environment and support sustainable development. About the Role ChemCentre is modernising its two Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to a common platform and modules. We are seeking to appoint up to three highly skilled and self -motivated programmers to join a driven and passionate team of software developers.
The software development team delivers a pivotal function to ensure that ChemCentre maintains its critical support systems with functionality relevant to supporting and meeting its strategic objectives. The programmers will work within the development team and undertakes DevOps duties including planning, design, coding, building, testing, release, deployment, monitoring and operations support tasks. This role requires the programmers to be proficient with the Microsoft software development kit, including contemporary Microsoft cloud-based standards, techniques and services.
The positions are initially offered on a fixed term contract basis for 24 months. Options for further extensions or permanency may be considered, subject to funding and conditions. Suitable applicants may be considered for like positions within 6 months from the date of finalisation of the selection process.
