The Environmental Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all activities at site. The primary purpose of this role is to secure and manage the necessary environmental approvals for a wide range of rehabilitation, water management and budget management. You will provide professional advice to internal and external stakeholders while managing the operational requirements in overseeing the delivering environmentally safe operations and projects.
Duties of the role will include: Provide specialist advice to the operational teams on the management of environmental aspects and impacts across the asset portfolio Assist the projects in overseeing the environmental policy and legislation Develop and maintain regular reporting of environmental performance and energy, emissions and resources information to internal management and external stakeholders Your experience Previous site experience in coal mining Comprehensive understanding of the environmental regulatory policy and legislation Experience in an environmental compliance and advisory role Formal qualification in either Environmental or similar Demonstrated experience working within a project environment 5-10 years of experience in the industry This is a permanent position and the salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate, in alignment with qualifications, skills, capabilities and experience.
