Broking Systems Administrator
In Australasia the Corporate Retailing Broking teams utilise the eGlobal Broking System to quote, bind, receipt, settle and report the majority of their transactions. This system is used in a further 18 countries in Willis Towers Watson International. The Broking Systems Administrator provides support to the eGlobal Broking System in Australia and New Zealand covering three instances â€“ WTW Australia, WTW New Zealand and Richard Oliver Underwriting Managers (ROUM) with 350 direct users.
The Role Day to day support of processing in eGlobal covering brokers, operations, finance and other IT team members. Completing data file maintenance as required via the provision of SQL scripts, change requests and DBA resource booking. Provide Change Request Approval for other team membersâ€™ scripts.
Assist with supporting the development, testing and maintenance of the eGlobal software via regular upgrades and patches. Complete end of day and month processes in a timely fashion including investigation of any sub-ledger to general ledger discrepancies. Assist with data extracts to business as required.
Assist with implementation of new processes as directed by group audit. Work closely with the Systems Development team on report requests from business. Provide eGlobal knowledge to the business on ad hoc basis for projects.
This role is the first point of contact for overseas statutory calculation review process. The Requirements Ideally educated to degree level in Finance, IT or related discipline Understanding of the local statutory and tax regime in Australia and New Zealand Excellent verbal and written communication skills A broad understanding of finance, IT and operational processes preferably within the broking industry and how the different functions act with each other. IT literate and a competent user of Microsoft Office tools especially Excel Knowledge of SQL Understanding of Willis Towers Watson Service Desk and Change Control process desirable Equal Opportunity Employer.
