About The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a Defect Manager to join our Library and Education Solutions business unit, working within the Perth office on a permanent basis. As Defect Manager you would the point of contact for all Customer Observation and Defect issues and is required to facilitate ongoing support, reconciliation of defect across multiple repositories based on the documented defect management process.

You would also be required to offer guidance to the software development and operational teams as and when required. Responsibilities Follow and potentially improve the existing Defect Management Process. Ensuring all defects are entered correctly and controlled / managed as effectively as possible through their lifecycle.

Maintaining absolute integrity of the defect database and ensuring a full audit trail for any changes made to defect status outside of the published defect process. Ensure that effective communication is maintained with team members on the same or related projects / product teams to build common goals Provide accurate timely reporting information on progress, risks and issues The ability to chair, own, and steer critical defect meetings to achieve a satisfactory outcome Good working knowledge of software development lifecycle. Ability to manage repeatable standard processes along with an ability to find, own and resolve ad-hoc issues.

Ability to explain technical processes and articulate knowledge of the Defect Management process to a wide audience.
