Our BOH Team Leaders are highly organised and motivated towards delivering a high quality, consistent product that exceeds the expectations of our guests. They understand that the food is ultimately what brings people together to genuinely connect at Fonda and will treat guests as if they were guests in their own home. They work quickly and accurately under pressure and never skip the details.
WHO IS FONDA? A 'Fonda' is an open Mexican kitchen, where people come together to share home cooking that is fresh, locally sourced, cooked and served with love. Our core purpose is to bring people together to genuinely connect. Our offering is a delicious, fresh Mexican inspired menu that is always served with a side fun and good vibes.
Born in the backstreets of Richmond in 2011, Fonda is a young company with 7 Melbourne restaurants (casas) at Richmond, Windsor, Flinders Lane, Hawthorn, Knox, Chadstone and Collingwood. We also opened our first Interstate Fonda late last year in Bondi. We're a growing business and are looking for leaders that want to be part of the next phase of our exciting growth journey.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Ensuring timely, high-quality production and service of meals is established and maintained at all times. Leading from the front by running shifts during the busiest services.
Providing on shift coaching and mentoring to out team members. Requirements WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU: Experience: Youâ€™ve worked a minimum of 1 year in a professional kitchen. Leadership: Demonstratable leadership experience, preferably in a kitchen setting.
Guest Focus: You are completely obsessed with delivering an exceptional product for our guests. You'll cook for guests like they are friends or family visiting your home. Action Oriented: You are positive and solutions focused and enjoy working hard.
You thrive under pressure all the while earning and keeping the respect of the team and peers. Detail focused: You have an incredible attention to detail and are process driven. Youâ€™re knowledgeable about food safety and are committed to delivering a safe product 100% of the time.
