Service Engineer – Electrical Melbourne The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity is now available for a qualified and experienced service engineer to join our team. This role will have a central focus on providing customers with automation support through project, service, breakdown and maintenance work. Also to work with the rest of the Scott team to ensure sharing ideas and knowledge.

As a Service Engineer you will: Perform maintenance on Scott built machines and other equipment our clients may have Perform break down maintenance as required Install commission machines, local, interstate and international Be responsible for outcomes of workmanship and be able to work independently Provide technical assistance directly to customers and other Scott staff. Provide technical assistance to project and other service engineers Prior experience working independently at customer facilities Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude Demonstrated experience in PLC programming Demonstrated programming and service experience with industrial robots Proficient in reading, interpreting and editing electrical/pneumatic schematics and diagrams Qualified electrical mechanic – trade certificate or similar tertiary qualifications Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance of automated packaging lines including fault finding, mechanical and electrical repair/installation minor program modifications. Key Responsibilities: Travel to customer facilities to support the software, electrical and mechanical integration of automated equipment Work with customers technical support team to support ownership of equipment Assist with start-up and commissioning of equipment at customer site for final customer approval Technical Competencies: Prior experience working independently at customer facilities Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude Demonstrated experience in PLC programming Demonstrated programming and service experience with industrial robots Proficient in reading, interpreting and editing electrical/pneumatic schematics and diagrams Qualifications: Qualified electrical mechanic – trade certificate or similar tertiary qualifications Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance of automated packaging lines including fault finding, mechanical and electrical repair/installation minor program modifications.
