If this sounds appealing to you, then read on. The Role A Registrar/Principal House Officer is required for Queensland's Darling Downs region. This position will see the successful applicant working in a well-respected mental health facility, providing, developing and maintaining effective evidence based clinical services under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist.
The role will provide an excellent opportunity for development of specialist skills in the field of Forensic Psychiatry. Essential requirements for the role include the following; MBBS or equivalent qualification registrable with the Medical Board of Australia Completion of at least 2 years postgraduate or the equivalent and completion of a full term in Psychiatry (10 weeks) The Centre The centre you will be working in provides specialised forensic mental health services via five inpatient programs ranging from High Security, Medium Secure, Extended Treatment and Rehabilitation, Dual Diagnosis and Extended Adolescent services. The centre is also involved in community-based programs such as Prison Mental Health and an intellectual disability service, as well as research, teaching and library programs.
