The Role An Advanced Trainee Child and Adolescent Psychiatry position has become available with Australia's Top End Mental Health Service. This role will suit an enthusiastic and career orientated Consultant wanting to enjoy the rich and varied experiences the Northern Territory has to offer. The successful applicant will be working in a multi-disciplinary team delivering Child and Adolescent psychiatry services to a diverse population in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
This is a fixed position commencing 03/02/2020 for a period of 2 years, allowing you to experience valuable training opportunities in the field of rural and remote psychiatry. Essential Requirements of the Role include; Registration with the Medical Board of Australia and registration as a trainee with RANZCP Ability to meet the requirements of the RANZCP for admission as a Training Registrar A current NT driver's licence or the ability to obtain one The Service This position lies within a dedicated Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service, connected to a major teaching hospital in the Northern Territory. The service provides both rural and remote mental health care assessments, case management and recovery focused treatment programs.
Heavy emphasis is placed upon prevention and early intervention strategies in collaboration with a variety of other mental health service providers. The Location Visitors to the Northern Territory will discover a diverse area with contrasting landscapes and many beautiful places to see. The surrounding region offers scenic gorges, an abundance of fishing opportunities, natural wonders and an interesting history of indigenous culture and pioneering endeavours.
