Investment Associate - Venture Capital

Location

Description

Our client is a leading venture capital firm with an enviable track record in investing into quality, high growth technology businesses that is also backed by an impressive array of established, experienced investors. With growing enthusiasm from investors in venture capital, our client is well positioned to scale up the size & scope of its investment mandate. In support of this, they are now looking to hire an Investment Associate with a genuine passion and interest in technology and the venture capital ecosystem.

The Investment Associate will engage with the founders of startup/early stage companies and look to identify investment opportunities that align with our client’s investment mandate. The individual will then contribute to investment decision making, assist the team in the execution of deals and participate in the ongoing management of portfolio businesses. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated passion for technology and early stage companies as well as display plenty of intellectual curiosity and an aptitude for critical thinking.

They will also possess strong financial acumen and sound financial modelling and analytical skills gained through 3-5 years’ experience within an investment bank, advisory firm, management consultancy, a top-tier CA firm or similar. Candidates must also display strong communication skills and those who have, successfully or otherwise, attempted to start their own business or venture will be looked upon favourably. The firm is renowned for culture which can be described as output oriented, supportive, “no blame” and shared ownership in nature.
