Worleyâ€™s Global IT Group is embarking on a significant initiative to define a high-level enterprise information architecture focusing on the mapping of future-state IT capabilities to business needs.
To drive this initiative, we are now seeking to secure an experienced ETL Designer. This position is Melbourne based. The ETL Designer is an experienced self-starting IT professional who is motivated and eager to learn and grow as part of a team responsible for the development of ETL (Informatica IICS) applications and data quality.
This position understands business drivers, relates them to IT capabilities and will perform functions as outlined below. All duties are to be performed in accordance with Worley policies, practices and procedures. Specific accountabilities will include: Review current state activities to include the review of the goals and objectives of the Data foundation project, the oversight responsibilities, and strategic involvement recommendations.
Recommend and establish standards for advanced data integration, data processing to include designing practical solutions for optimal performance with fine balance of availability, reliability and security. Development of ETL Informatica applications and Metadata Management Designing and developing ETL solutions using Informatica that follow the in-house ETL development standards; managing program coding for the extraction of data from all existing source systems, transforming data to fit Enterprise Data Models. Trouble shoot data load issues Work closely with senior data analyst of both source and data warehouse to ensure the requirements are correctly implemented Responsible for ETL estimations and developing proof of concepts for new Data Integration patterns Responsible for promoting the technical capabilities of ETL to offshore ETL Development team.
