Northcott Therapy provides support to children, young people and adults with a range of disability including intellectual disability, physical disability, autism and global developmental delay. About the Opportunity We are looking to expand our Therapy Services and require a dedicated Physiotherapist to join our vibrant Paediatric Spinal Outreach Service (PSOS) team.
Based in North Parramatta you will work alongside the Multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical evidence based and person-centred physiotherapy to children with a spinal cord injury. Specifically: Provide quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment services to children and young people with spinal cord injuries. Provide education and support to children, their families and other professionals on spinal cord injuries and related issues Work with the customers and families to identify customers' strengths, skills and goals.
Identify barriers that may restrict the customer's physical, emotional, cognitive and/or social development, well-being or participation. Use appropriate assessment tools and methods to assess strengths, skills and areas of development in collaboration with the customer Analyse and interpret assessment findings and customers' priorities to develop appropriate interventions, in collaboration with other team members Provide ongoing evaluation of interventions and customer priorities and adapt intervention accordingly. About you: You have a genuine interest and commitment to working with people with disability Previous experience in spinal cord injuries is desirable Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA Demonstrated ability to manage a case-load efficiently and effectively Advanced understanding of relevant assessment and interventions Current driver's licence and willingness to drive About Northcott Benefits and Culture: We are a renowned disability services provider, with more than 85 years experience 5 weeks leave per year and extensive learning and professional development, peer to peer support, formalised supervision, and attendance at regular therapy forums.
