You will MAKE A DIFFERENCE by becoming a true strategic partner to our clients using data to explain what is happening and what they should do to improve business performance. Working with both your Nielsen colleagues and spending time with your client, you will build partnerships that allow you to develop in-depth analytics and create compelling stories to deliver insight to drive business outcomes. The Opportunity We are currently seeking a FMCG Insights Manager to join our Sydney retail analytics team.

This team is part of our “Buy” industry group and offers exposure to work with a blue-chip retail client. You will work amongst some highly capable and inspired insights professionals, giving you the chance to soak up the ideas and perspectives of peers from a range of backgrounds, allowing you to deliver best-in-class insights. Your Key Responsibilities: Designing, planning and executing analysis to deliver meaningful insight to diverse client stakeholders from category managers through to C-suite management according to their needs Condensing a large amount of data into key actionable points to recommend short and long term strategies; using storytelling to deliver these actionable insights Leading, coaching and supervising junior analysts to ensure that the business needs of the client are met Recommending new data sources, methodologies, visualisations or delivery formats to improve the quality, depth and insight required for diverse stakeholders Presenting necessary recommendations and tracking outcomes Leveraging existing thought leadership built at Nielsen to set the scene when sharing a story with your data Developing and presenting thought leadership created by Nielsen associates Working collaboratively across a variety of working groups in an agile work environment to deliver outcomes in a timely manner About you You will possess the following skills: Knowledge of the FMCG and retail environment with a good understanding of shoppers, market drivers and levers for driving growth Minimum 5 years working in analytics in an FMCG or retail environment with advanced analytics capability using scan data and Homescan panel data Experienced at consulting with varied stakeholders to understand the business issue, refine the brief and to think creatively and strategically to deliver actionable insight Strong attention to detail and passion for data visualisation; strong verbal and written communication skills Highly curious, motivated to see a problem through to conclusion Able to prioritise and work successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment A strong listener, empathetic, respectful and professio.
