A diverse and friendly team are seeking an experienced EA with Government background to provide support Your new company Working within State Gov Education Department, you will be working withing a friendly and diverse team. Your new role In your new position you will: Provide confidential secretarial and administrative support to a Director including diary and meeting management, email, and travel arrangement. Manage relationships and liaise with senior management, branch heads, departmental staff, and other public and private sector agencies in order to collect or impart information and arrange meetings.
Manage and provide advice on internal administrative requirements associated with branch finances, human relations, correspondence and briefings, including liaising with relevant corporate staff across the department. Develop and maintain record, filing and document management systems necessary to monitor and control papers and other information required for the Branch. Assess and prioritise incoming papers, emails and telephone enquiries and take follow up action to ensure department and branch requirements are met.
Work cooperatively with other support staff across Public Sector Reform and the department to provide a range of services to Senior Executives and the Branch. What you'll need to succeed To be successful for this position you have: A minimum of 2 years' experience working in the public sector Experience as EA or branch admin within the public sector managing diaries and correspondence, arranging travel and meetings and providing secretarial support Written reports, briefings and correspondence for managers and the executive Exception stakeholder management skills including outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships quickly Preferably experience using SharePoint, Outlook, MIBS, EMINS or other government systems (TRIM / LotusNotes).
