Melbourne State Government Contract job working in a climate change focussed Strategic Planning job, $58ph Your new company You will be working with a Melbourne based State Government organisation in Central Melbourne (CBD) who have responsibility for implementing legislation across the state. This prestigious organisation has multiple specialists across planning, policy and project management making sure that the Melbourne 2050 vision is implemented effectively. Your new role In this diverse land use planning role, you will be working to make sure that climate change initiatives are implemented in the planning process and you will be working closely with the Environmental Protection Agency to implement effective processes.
You will be working to provide high level statutory and strategic advice to major development schemes and assisting multiple stakeholders to make sure that environmental factors are a core focus of planning teams across Victoria. What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified town planner with suitable rights to work in Australia. You will have extensive experience either with a Victorian Council, State Government organisation or a private sector planning firm and have an understanding of strategic or statutory planning.
What you'll get in return You will earn $58 per hour and have a secured initial 3 month contract, with the potential to progress within the organisation or to a permanent role if you choose.
