Due to an influx of new projects, multiple opportunities have become available within the Fraud and Regulatory Division.
Your new role As an Senior Investigator you will undertake investigations of potential fraud, unauthorised access, non- compliance misconduct and criminal offences committed. Senior Investigators work with a high level of autonomy to carry out investigations. They ensure the work of the team is of high standards and meets key performance indicators.
Senior Investigators work under the limited direction of senior staff. They exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures. Decision making is substantially dependent on sound judgement, skills and knowledge.
Senior Investigators manage and organise their own work in the context of competing priorities, including contributing to business planning, changes in workplace practices and business improvement strategies. What you'll need to succeed You will be responsible for the following: Undertaking formal and informal discussions with internal and external stakeholders/customers and third parties to obtain required information Undertaking and managing investigations of a complex and sensitive nature in accordance with commonwealth frameworks and Australian Government Investigation Standards Developing investigation plans, evidence matrixes, complex witness statements, briefs of evidence and assisting in the execution of search warrants Providing evidence in criminal and civil court Analysing and identifying fraud trends to support case selection opportunities Required qualifications in relation to Fraud Control consistent with the Commonwealth Fraud Control Framework 2017 (e.g.
Certificate IV in Government [Fraud Control] or Diploma of Government [Fraud Control])/or demonstrated significant experience.
