From an essential/fire services trade background you will provide technical leadership and direction to deliver optimum asset performance.
As the Technical Facilities Manager, Fire, you will focus on the reliability of all the hard services and you will drive cost effective Repairs and Maintenance and assist in capital expenditure programs. You will build professional partnerships with teams, service providers and University stakeholders to ensure delivery of essential services on time and on budget, with a strong focus on practical installation, configuration and communication. You will: Implement and manage the Campus asset management strategies and deliver efficient improvements and up-grade programs in consultation with the Strategic Asset Manager.
Implement and maintain the University-wide strategy for asset management, monitoring, maintenance, renewals and upgrades. Implement and maintain Asset Management QA systems incorporating asset risk management and control of critical documents, policies etc Provide technical and sustainability input and advice to the Facility Management team Ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative obligations. Proactively identify and analyse emerging risks and/or threats and recommend mitigation, minimisation and/or elimination strategies You will have: Trade Qualifications in Essential Services/Fire Engineering or similar or equivalent facilities management qualifications.
Minimum 5 yearsâ€™ experience in building maintenance and FM service delivery management, planning, budgeting and financial management. Demonstrated experience in contract and contractor management, service contract procurement including developing and maintaining professional working relationships. Extensive operational and facilities management experience with building services and infrastructure in a large and complex property portfolio.
Excellent leadership qualities, interpersonal and communication skills with strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills with a proven capacity to exercise initiative and develop solutions.
