Our Energy and Sustainability Services Business is the world leader in energy procurement, sustainability reporting, and energy efficiency, with over 35 years' experience of helping clients reduce their energy spend, achieve their business and sustainability goals. Due to continued growth there exists an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Sales team, based out of our Melbourne CBD office.

Reporting directly to the General Manager Sales, the key aim of this critical role will be to work closely with clients to strategically design energy management plans which drive efficiencies for the client and grow the services delivered by Schneider Electric. Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: • Identify prospects that match the profile of Schneider Electric in the Energy & Sustainability Services arena; • Work as a true sales hunter, generating and following up on leads and creating interest in Schneider’s offerings; • Lead and move prospects through the sales cycle; • Achieve growth through solid relationships with prospective clients, gaining detailed understanding of their needs, pain points and strategic direction; • Being aware of market trends and the work you want to capture; • Work with marketing management to ensure promotional activity is carried out to enhance the company image and increase brand awareness; • Being aware of market trends and the work you want to capture; • Provide regular feedback on Schneider's positioning in the marketplace; • Communicate and interact with business decision makers at all levels to identify needs and requirements as well as market opportunities; • Negotiate and close sales that vary in contract length and fee range; • Maintain prospect (CRM) database information; • Utilisation of internal resources ensuring the effective coordination of client meetings, presentation preparation and delivery to all levels of the client’s organisation.
