The role of the Finance and Strategy Group is critical to refocusing TAFE NSW to be more customer-focused and commercially aware.
The Finance and Strategy group partners with the business to optimise TAFE NSWâ€™s commercial, social and policy objectives including the aim to be flexible, efficient and operate commercially in a competitive market. The Opportunity As t he Head of Project Finance you will lead a team in the provision of high quality financial, analytical and strategic information pertaining to project definition, execution, cost and benefit recognition. You will engage with multiple stakeholders including project teams, executive sponsors and the ePMO to support optimal decision making and accountability whilst developing and establishing new finance management processes systems and tools.
This is a 12 month fixed term full-time position based in Ultimo. About You To succeed in this role you will be a confident communicator with experience leading a team of finance professionals to deliver high quality financial related advice and support to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will have strong analytical and problem solving skills with a proven ability to analyse, interpret and provide financial advice to meet business needs in relation to projects and programs.
Demonstrated skills and experience in building strong, collaborative partnerships is essential to ensure you become a trusted advisor, leading to successful business outcomes for both the business and stakeholders. Essential requirements; Degree qualification in Finance/Accounting Thorough understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, Public Finance and Audit Act, Treasurerâ€™s Directions and other government regulations.
