Sabcha Pty Ltd owns and operates a number of premium Thai and Asian restaurants across Sydney. As part of our exciting expansion plans, we are opening a new restaurant in Buddina QLD under the name, P’Nut Street Noodles. We have seeking an experienced full-time Restaurant Manager to manage this 75-seat restaurant.

The position involves: Direct, manage and supervise entire restaurant team – front and back (approximately 10 -15 service staff) Recruit, train and retain team members including designing effective retention strategies, appraise staff performance, organising rosters and labour cost management. Ensure sales and food costs are met according to budgets stipulated by owners. Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.

Check and sign off on daily cash and float. Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery and cleaning products. Completes all product orders and stock control via par stock - accepts and checks all deliveries including weighing.

Inspects equipment and storage facilities throughout a shift to ensure that equipment is in proper working order. Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events, such as monthly tasting specials. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, food, safety and hygiene.

Planning menus in consultation with Chefs and assist in catering orders - both off-site and on-site including set-up, logistics and customer satisfaction. Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses. Attend management meetings weekly with Operations Manager and monthly with other Managers and head office team.

Regularly review product quality and research new vendors. To be successful in this position you need: Prior restaurant management experience with a solid understanding of Asian food. Either 5 years’ experience managing restaurants of similar cuisines (preferably Asian) and size or at least a Diploma in Hospitality Management and 2-3 years management experience.

Extroverted and results driven personality and must enjoy working with people. Strong understanding and past experience with South East Asian food especially Thai. This is a must as we run commercial kitchens making made-from-scratch sauces and spices.

Excellent customer service and fantastic interpersonal and communication skills. Strong reporting skills –written and oral. Prior management experience especially in P&L, budgets and menu management.
