Claims Assist Officer - Disability
This role is primarily responsible for providing a proactive and informative assistance service to members, or stakeholders on behalf of members, who are looking to and subsequently do lodge disability related claims. As a member of the Insurance team, this role will require significant knowledge and skills in relation to insurance and claims matters. The role will assist members with their understanding of the claims process, set the expectation of the process and service they should receive; advise who they will be involved with, be an escalation point where their claim does not go as planned or they need further assistance and to restore the claim onto an appropriate course.
This role will be considered a service and technical expert and as such you will require considerable claims experience in Disability claims ideally industry experience with another Fund, an administrator or insurer and a well-developed understanding of claims, insurance and benefits. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a proactive and empathetic approach to claims. This new team was developed only two years ago and have had tremendous success with excellent manager support and team collaboration and this rare position has become available due to internal promotion so don't miss this.
