This new position will manage a business improvement program to further advance asset management maturity across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include: Facilitate the definition, prioritisation and identification of resource requirements of business improvement initiatives, outcomes and benefits Develop and implement an improvement program based on good practice program management principles, while addressing relevant governance requirements Ensure any program risks & issues and interdependencies are managed appropriately Provide support to the operation of and decision making by the Program Management Group (PMG) and Program Steering Committee (PSC) Monitor progress and provide status reports to PMG and PSC (If required) Contribute to project management of identified business improvement initiatives Key deliverables for the next 6 months: Determine and implement fit-for-purpose Program Management arrangements for the City’s Asset Management Improvement Program Obtain PSC approval of improvement priorities for 2019-20 and 2020-21 Reach agreement on project management responsibilities for individual initiatives within the program Develop a Program Management Plan and gain approval from the PSC Provide fit-for-purpose status reports to the PMG and PSC About You Extensive program & project management capabilities, with a proven ability to manage business improvement programs across diverse and complex organisations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to build strong relationships and credibility using exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution skills Ability to contribute to organisational change and influence stakeholders of the need for change A motivated self-starter, resilient to challenges and set-backs and displays initiative in identifying and implementing improvement opportunities Ability to investigate, analyse and solve whole of organisation complex problems What We Offer Working for the City of Gold Coast is both challenging and rewarding.
