Senior / Contracts Administrator - Client Side - Aviation



Our client is a boutique, client side project and construction management consultancy who provide independent and professional services for property and infrastructure projects. They are now looking for a Senior / Contracts Administrator to join their innovative and client focussed team to work on a large $500m aviation package managing a building services upgrade. Offering an end to end consulting, PM and advisory service to their clients, they have a diverse project portfolio spanning commercial buildings, industrial, retail, education, aged care, hotels and infrastructure.

As the Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for the coordination of cost control activities across the project in support of the relevant Project Manager accountable for the individual package costs. You will also be responsible for maintaining the consistency of cost reporting and the monthly preparation of the Client's head contract progress claims. This is a 6-month contract role with the potential to go long term.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: Work closely with the Project Manager(s) to ensure all consultant / contractor invoices and progress claims are processed on time and compliant Prepare the Client's head contract monthly progress claim and all associated supporting documentation Administration of various package based cost reports on a monthly basis Coordinate the review, assessment and approval of all monthly invoices and progress claims Provide regular reporting on the status of payment to consultants / contractors from the Client Coordinate input from the Quantity Surveyor for assessment of contractor progress claims and variations Assist the Project Manager and Procurement Lead with procurement activities and contract formation for major packages Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Construction Management or similar Minimum 5 - 10 years' experience within the construction industry Proven knowledge of contract tendering, standards, and procedures Strong negotiation skills Sound understanding of overall construction programmes and plans Able to identify key client and builder obligations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to build rapport at all levels Advanced computer literacy Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel This is a full time contract position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and well established organisation who offer challenging work.
