Leading Hand / Sub Foreman - Tier 2 - Residential/Commercial



Our client is a multi-award winning construction company with a proven track record of successfully delivering project across new build and refurbishment sectos. Due to a busy pipeline of work, our client is now seeking an experienced Leading Hand / Sub Foreman to join their busy team. Offering a range of services to their clients, the company specialises in new build construction across a variety of sectors such as residential, commercial, aged care, education, government and industrial sectors.

As Leading Hand / Sub Foreman, you will be responsible for assisting the overall delivery of high quality and on-time construction, ensuring that the projects are completed to documented drawings, specifications and cost standards. Reporting to: General Foreman / Site Manager Responsibilities include but not limited to: Ensure that onsite WHS and quality inductions are conducted with all onsite staff / subcontractors Develop short-term programme to meet head contract requirements Coordinate site infrastructure planning Organise all site inspections by clients, architects, authorities as required Provide updates to the client and attend client meetings Assist with preparation of scopes of work Liaise with Contracts Administrator to ensure relevant insurances, work method statements have been provided by subcontractors Review progress of activities, ensuring appropriate action is taken to resolve any issues Conduct regular meetings and annual performance management with direct reports Qualifications and Requirements: Qualifications in Cert III Carpentry, Cert IV Building and/or Diploma in Building (required) Ideally 3 to 6 years experience in site supervision and management of trades in a similar environment Construction Safety Induction (White) card Senior First Aid Certificate Certificate IV in WHS qualification (an advantage, however not required) Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards relating to building sites Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate large site teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to communicate with and manage client expectations Experience using Aconex or a similar software for document management Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel This is a permanent full time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for further career progression (career pathway available from Leading Hand > Sub Foreman > Foreman > Site Manager).
