ICT & Security Engineer



New Zealand - Auckland, Auckland Job Summary The Role Due to numerous project wins, AECOM has a new opportunity for an ICT & Security Engineer to join our growing Consulting & Technology team. This role can be based in Hamilton, Tauranga, Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch. This position is ideal for a professional with a solid technical background, looking for the next step in their career.

Projects you will be actively involved in, span a diverse range of sectors including Education, Defence, Data Centres, Commercial, Retail, and Healthcare. Day to day responsibilities will include; Engineering design from concept through detailed design phases for ICT Network (LAN, WAN, VoIP and Wireless), Network Security and ICT systems including Access Control and Intrusion Detection, CCTV, Nurse Call, Audio Visual and MATV. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements.

Generate return briefs and design feature reports. Provide detailed coordination between ICT systems, Building Systems, and audio-visual systems. Provide ICT Project Management through the lifecycle of the ICT project.

Coordinate the communications spatials and reticulation with the building services, architecture, and structural design. Coordinate enabling design provisions such as Power, Cooling and redundancy requirements. Design Documentation using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visio, and AutoCAD ABS / Revit.

Coordinate interfaces to the communications network including security, AV, BMS, fire protection, etc. Contribute to the delivery of the telecommunications scope, in adherence to project quality systems, program, and budgets. Minimum Requirements About You Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering security and ICT design within a consulting environment Experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams Ability to achieve and maintain high levels of quality and consistency of outputs. Ability to work autonomously and contribute to the quality of deliverables and meeting deadlines. High levels of written and oral communication.
