KPMG's Property Due Diligence is the in-house team of Chartered Building Surveyors, Environmental Scientists and Building Certifiers with full service teams in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth plus representatives offices in Auckland and Singapore. The environmental division of the team operates within the Australasian commercial and industrial property markets and are specialists in undertaking contaminated land and hazardous building material assessments. We have a large, strong and growing client base and due to continued growth we require an Environmental Consultant who is ready to take a step-up in their career.
Your Opportunity As an Environmental Consultant you will be responsible for undertaking and managing contaminated land and hazardous building material projects. As part of this position you will be required to: Manage contaminated land and hazardous building material projects including Preliminary and Detailed Environmental Site Investigations, Remedial Action Plans, Validation Reports, and Hazardous Building Material Assessments. Develop and review asbestos registers and asbestos and hazardous building materials management plans.
Liaise with a variety of stakeholders including clients, sub-contractors, authorities and colleagues. How are you Extraordinary? To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience could include: 2 yearsâ€™ experience in environmental assessment, focussed on contaminated land with hazardous building materials identification experience.
Working knowledge of the WA Contaminated Sites Act and Regulations and the amended National Environment Protection (Assessment of Site Contamination) Measure 1999. An environmental science degree (or equivalent). Be hands-on and practical.
Demonstrated skills in field sampling techniques ideally including soil and groundwater investigations, as well as asbestos containing materials sampling. Demonstrated project and people management skills. Strong initiative and problem solving skills.
Excellent written & verbal skills. Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of programs, with proficiency in industry specific data management....
