The opportunity: We are currently searching for a PM Operations Manager to manage the daily transportation services for the company and its customers, ensuring that the site is run economically and that the shift is run smoothly with a team that is trained to achieve the highest standards of safety and operation excellence.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensure the team is inducted and trained in local procedures and in the use of transport and operational equipment. Record all training and ensure toolbox attendance sheets are sent to the relevant person/team for entry into training database. Track and monitor licences, ensuring the team all hold current forklift licences.

Oversee effective forklift management, i.e. ensuring that forklifts are well maintained and meet or exceed company standards and specifications.

Participate in and lead regular communication with other operations including fleet and customer service. Report regularly to the Branch Manager on distribution matters Determine labour hire requirements and staffing levels are within budget. Comply with the Global Express approval and recruitment process when seeking to employ extra and/or additional labour.

Monitor labour planning/availability reports, RDO/Annual leave rosters and absenteeism statistics for the team, and take the necessary action to ensure sufficient staff are rostered on at all times. About you: 5 years in a Transport Management role Solid understanding of freight handling processes Working knowledge of equipment management Solid understanding of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code Ability to determine labour and equipment to meet scheduled workloads Proven problem solving ability with a solutions orientation Ability to recognise and control costs Why work at Toll Group?
