The Resources Division delivers innovative and effective technology-based solutions within the Library, supporting both internal operations and service delivery to Library users and provides effective and efficient acquisition, organisation and delivery of appropriate scholarly information resources to meet the education, research, and engagement objectives of the University. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Librarian to review and evaluate options to deliver reading lists that are integrated with teaching and learning systems for Monash University courses. The Library supports teaching and learning through the provision of direct access to assigned course readings.
This role works collaboratively to provide expertise, analysis, and recommendations for a reading list service that delivers an excellent user experience for students and staff. This newly designed role works collaboratively across the Library and will be the key liaison point between the Library, internal and external client groups, and industry partners as required. Reporting to the Director, Resources and Technology, you will provide specialist advice that contributes to achieving the Libraryâ€™s strategic objectives.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for: Reviewing, evaluating, and recommending reading list tools and software to enhance library education and research services We are seeking a professional, ideally with a degree in librarianship or information management, with a commitment to providing excellent user experiences. You will have current knowledge of the challenges and opportunities relating to coordinating and delivering access to resources, an understanding of contemporary educational technologies, and highly developed communication, planning, and organisational skills.
