Registered Nurse - Intensive Care (ICU)
An exciting career opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse to join the Intensive Care Unit at the Northern Beaches Hospital. Northern Beaches Hospital is a fully licensed private hospital, providing care to both public and private patients from an outstanding facility, with a large range of quality services provided by exceptional nurses, doctors and staff. Our Northern Beaches Hospital is a 488 bed high acuity facility located in Sydneyâ€™s beautiful Northern Beaches area and is operated by Healthscope, a leading provider of private health care in Australia.
Northern Beaches Intensive Care Unit is a 20 bed general Intensive Care Unit catering for the needs of the area with key specialties including cardiothoracic, neurosurgery and general surgery as well complex medical cases. We also provide specialist care for patientâ€™s admitted through the hospitals busy emergency department, and play a key role in the hospitalâ€™s Clinical Emergency Response team. We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic experienced ICU nurses to provide expert nursing care to complex patients.
The successful candidate will be a pro-active team player, with demonstrated ability and desire to be part of a dynamic work force, mentor junior staff and participate in quality improvement. Progression to Clinical Nurse Specialist, and support through a structured career pathway will be offered to a suitable candidate. Although a rotational 24/7 roster is in place, we offer flexible self-rostering and a choice of shift patterns.
As a Senior Registered Nurse you will possess the following skills and attributes: Registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse Minimum 5 years Post Graduate experience in a local ICU Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs, demonstrating passion in delivering an exceptional patient experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to work in a team environment Flexibility to work varying shifts over a 7 day service If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF â€“ NSW Nurses and Midwivesâ€™ â€“ Enterprise Agreement 2015 â€“ 2019, a salary ranging from $32.04 - $44.99 per hour.
