CLOSER BRAVER FASTER The Role The purpose of the role is work with the Program Change & Capability Lead to develop and execute the capability uplift activities that are vital for the success of the rQ Program of work. rQ is an enterprise-wide risk transformation program tasked with strategically shifting the mindset and behaviours of IAG team members to be more risk aware and enhancing risk culture, while deploying a number of deliverables to uplift risk processes, systems and governance across the organisation. Capability uplift is therefore required at both strategic (over the two-year life of the Program) and tactical (quarterly sprints) levels.
Key Responsibilities Scope, design, manage and execute capability uplift plans in line with the programâ€™s outcomes and deliverables. Capability uplift may take the form of knowledge transfer, 1-to-1 coaching, online/self-guided learning, workshops, and other forms of up-skilling Based on agreed project priorities, undertake and document current vs future state capabilities, especially for critical risk team members, and recommend capability uplift interventions required to achieve outcomes. These include new skills, ways of working and behaviours aligned to the risk culture IAG seeks to build Be able to interpret and elicit capabilities required arising from the future state operating model delivered by the Program, with support and clarification where needed.
The Capability Manager will also be required to align the future state capabilities with the IAG aspiration of the â€˜risk professional of the futureâ€™ and agreed definition of â€˜leading risk managementâ€™ Identify and engage business and program stakeholders to refine and endorse plans Co-ordinate and execute capability uplift interventions including developing and delivering training, managing and ensuring the timely and high-quality production of artefacts such as user guides, training materials, videos etc. Support business owners and change champions in their role in effective implementation of required capability uplift Work closely with key sponsors, stakeholders and all members of the Program Team to align and adjust capability uplift activity with Program deliverables Devise and agree measures for capability uplift activity (skills, behaviours, outcomes etc.) and track/report on these to evidence the achievement of required uplift in teams Skills & Experience All-rounder background and comfort in managing and delivering all aspects of end-to-end capability uplift.
It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to draw on a range of learning and development tools to achieve the desired outcomes Experience working in insurance and/or risk within financial services is highly desired Mature and professional approach to engaging with business stakeholders at all levels Experience in complex programs of work, especially the ability to discern and elicit requirements rather than relying on the Program/leade....
