About the Role Deliver entry-level Physiotherapy clinical services across a variety of clinical rotations within Metro South Hospital and Health Service. Deliver entry-level Physiotherapy clinical services as rostered within MSHHS in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, including the provision of after hour services, shift work and weekend services. As experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making under the clinical practice supervision of a more senior Physiotherapist.
Apply communication skills to work cooperatively and effectively with patients and their families/carers as well as colleagues, supervisors and all members of the multi-professional team. Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities. Manage an appropriate caseload using high level time management and prioritisation skills, including clinical and non-clinical responsibilities and the maintenance of accurate patient records and documentation.
Provide direction, supervision and support to Allied Health Assistants. Provide operational supervision to pre-entry physiotherapy students, work experience students, or those involved in observational clinical placements.
