The University Library provides access to over 1.6 million electronic resources to Monash staff and students. The Resources Division delivers innovative and effective technology-based solutions within the Library, supporting both internal operations and service delivery to Library users and provides effective and efficient acquisition, organisation and delivery of appropriate scholarly information resources to meet the education, research, and engagement objectives of the University.
The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Librarian to lead the renewal of access and authentication processes that deliver access to over 1.6 million electronic resources to Monash staff and students, anywhere, anytime. We are seeking an enquiring and technologically confident Librarian to evaluate, recommend and implement seamless authentication mechanisms used to access electronic resources.
This newly designed role works collaboratively across the Library and will be a key liaison point between the Library, internal and external client groups, and industry partners. Reporting to the Director, Resources and Technology, you will provide specialist advice that contributes to achieving the Libraryâ€™s strategic objectives. As the successful candidate you will be responsible for: Evaluating and implementing authentication and access services to improve the user experience when connecting to electronic resources on and off-campus We are seeking a professional, ideally with a degree in librarianship or information management, with a commitment to providing seamless access to electronic resources.
You would have current knowledge of the challenges and opportunities relating to providing access to electronic resources and have highly developed communication, planning and organisational skills.
