Accountant (Management Accountant)
TOP KNOT PROJECTS PTY LTD ACCOUNTANT (MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING) FULL-TIME POSITION Salary â€“ $80,000 â€“ $100,000 Top Knot Projects are seeking a talented and skilled accountant with management accounting skills to work for our business on a full-time basis. Top Knot has over 300 members of staff operating throughout NSW, QLD and VIC. With continued success throughout Australia, Top Knot are one of Australiaâ€™s leading construction companies and we are hiring to further develop and grow our group of companies.
This position is a full-time position, reporting directly to the Accounts Manager and company Director. Top Knot offer excellent rates, employee incentives, and bonuses. The salary for this position is $80,000 â€“ $100,000 plus superannuation dependent on skills and experience.
ABOUT THE ROLE Your tasks include: Expenditure and cost reporting for to management Preparation of expenditure reports and cash flow forecasts against budget targets and profit margins Conduct accounting audits to pinpoint variations to expenditure patterns across group Historical analysis of costs by line item against current expenditure for the group Preparation of BAS statements in a timely and accurate manner Reconciliation of General ledger, Supplier, Bank and Card accounts Be proactive in attending and participating in regular team meetings to ensure cost analysis data is relayed to other team members Minute taking for accounting department Record management of portfolio and related administration tasks Ensure all analysis is done in accordance with company policy and in compliance with the law Ensure regular reporting of status of management accounting processes to the Accounts Manage and Director Suggest continuous improvement processes the Accounts Manager & Director as appropriate SKILL REQUIREMENTS Tertiary qualification in accounting or related discipline Previous experience in accounting / management accounting in the construction industry Strong knowledge of MS Office, with advanced MS Excel skill set Experience working in a client project environment Experience working with project practices and procedures OTHER REQUIREMENTS Excellent communication skills Strong customer service focus Analytical mind, attention to detail, with ability to spot errors Exposure to Australian accounting processes and practices Strong personal computer and account management software skills Strong organizational skills to balance work and prioritize tasks Ability to work in a team environment Ability to keep sensitive and confidential material private If you want to work for a leading construction company with the opportunity to grow and develop then this is the opportunity for you.
