Senior Planning Consultant

Golder has a new opportunity for a Senior Planning Consultant to join our Consulting team on a full-time basis based in Melbourne office .
Key duties and responsibilities include: Undertake and manage Planning and Environmental assessments, Planning and Environmental approvals, permitting and compliance for clients' projects. Manage strategic and statutory planning including preparing and managing complex planning approvals and negotiations with Councils. Understand and interpret the national and local market, highlighting prospects and stewarding them to opportunities and proposals.
Manage clients' projects including project scoping, budget control, planning, development of schedules and coordination of resources. Drive a culture of Health and Safety and provide safety leadership. Mentor employees with respect to their career growth and professional development.
Provide planning advice to clients including project teams across disciplines. Develop new business opportunities to provide multi-disciplinary technical service offerings and focus on expanding opportunities with key clients. Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Extensive experience across strategic and statutory planning projects Qualified Urban Planner/Environmental Planning or similar.
Registered Planners or Members of the Planning Institute of Australia will be highly regarded. Demonstrate a sound knowledge of Victorian Planning legislation excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external clients.
