In a key strategic appointment designed to drive growth across New South Wales our client is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager in the Sydney region. The company: Our client is an Australian-owned company who specialise in supplying superior waterjet cutting equipment to businesses throughout Australia and New Zealand.

By working together with their clients, they improve the efficiency and the profitability through way of supplying market leading equipment and unparalleled after care service. They have seen fantastic growth and to sustain this, they are now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to work exclusively throughout Sydney and the wider NSW region. The Role: As the Business Development Manager for the Sydney/NSW region you will be accountable for engaging with, and creating positive relationships with new and existing customers, to successfully secure sales of our client's machine range.

With no direct competitors based in NSW this role presents an outstanding opportunity for a motivated sales professional to capitalise and make the most of this opportunity. This role will see the successful candidate pursuing new business development opportunities. You will enjoy working autonomously and thrive on building true partnerships with your clients and customers.

You will be in possession of the sales skills required to bring new business opportunities to fruition, and the communication and customer service skills to cement lasting relationships. We are not seeking industry knowledge as this can be taught and trained, but fantastic rapport building skills, proven success in a sales or BDM role is vital, as is having a great, positive attitude. Key responsibilities will include: Managing existing and creating new customer relationships; Identifying key opportunities in the market and proactively engaging to secure new business; Converting new opportunities into sales; Managing relationships with existing customers to maximise revenue opportunities; Communicating with customers within the territory on a regular basis to develop rapport and to better understand their needs; Respond to sales enquiries quickly and arrange quotations; Arrange face to face meetings with clients to discuss product range; and Regular travel around Regional NSW where you will travel to meet with clients.
