Trade Marketing Executive
Department/Team Overview The Trade Marketing team is focused on positioning Nine, its brands and products effectively to advertisers. A key support function to the Sales team, Trade Marketing develops collateral, campaigns and events that help in the selling of our advertising products and solutions. Position Overview As the Trade Marketing Executive â€“ Events & Partnerships, this role will be critical role in driving the implementation behind Nineâ€™s trade marketing plan to ensure Nine and associated brands and platforms are number one in the minds of advertisers and media buyers.
Roles responsibilities Act as a brand ambassador and live experience producer for Nine, evangelising the brand internally and externally with a focus on events, activations and marketing partnerships. Implement trade marketing tactics, to target media buyers and advertisers of Nine through the use of activations and events. This includes brand events in media agencies, annual upfront event, alongside a portfolio of client engagement events across the annual trade marketing calendar.
Understand and champion agency and advertiser education needs in the market, in order to develop market-leading experiences which are based on research, customer insight, or brand experiences Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to develop strong thought leadership positioning within the way the events are executed and bought to life Work closely with the design team on the production and sign-off of high quality creative assets for events and activations Main point of contact for contra marketing partnerships in place across the Sydney brand portfolio, spanning publishing and broadcast Monitor industry press, customer trends and competitor activity to capitalise on opportunities. Ensure marketing event spend is tracked to the overall budget and ROI measured. Manage one direct report on executing activations and events, with events ranging from 30 - 1500 attendees Essential experience & skills Minimum 1-year marketing / event experience Understanding of broadcast landscape and digital currency Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to travel throughout the year to events in other capital cities Excellent planning and project management skills - adept at managing time, working to tight deadlines Adept in Microsoft Office; including PowerPoint and Excel and eDM platforms such as Exact Target (Not Essential) Highly organised and have strong attention to detail Pro-active, solution-oriented and demonstrate high levels of ownership and responsibility Able to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
