Step into Council contracting Join a supportive and engaged project team Immediate start What you will be doing: Develop and maintain the Councilâ€™s overall enterprise security architecture to enable Council to confidently innovate with information technology, especially cloud ICT infrastructure. In conjunction with the Councilâ€™s ICT Governance and Architecture staff and peers at partnering external organisations, develops capability roadmaps, design patterns and technical standards that guide the development of solution architecture, and assist other ICT initiatives towards meeting Councilâ€™s business requirements, subject to budgetary and risk constraints. Contribute to the strategic planning and the initiative prioritisation related to the Enterprise (ICT) Security Architecture.
In cooperation with the other ICT Governance and Architecture professionals, develop the road maps for the strategic cybersecurity architectural improvements. These leverage the existing ICT infrastructure, as well as the concurrent and the expected future ICT initiatives, to achieve the maximum business benefits. Maintain knowledge of the most relevant emerging cybersecurity threats, cybersecurity technology, methodologies and IT industry trends.
In addition, effectively manage the time invested in these activities to ensure that it does not impact on the delivery of the architectural outcomes. Advise and assist ICT solution architects, and the other stakeholders, on topics relating to the Enterprise Security Architecture and how they can utilise the architecture to reduce costs and lower risks. Assist with the security risk assessment and the ICT security incident monitoring and response as directed.
Effectively contribute cybersecurity architecture expertise to the multi-disciplinary, cross-functional project teams and maintain effective working relationships with the team participants. Efficiently produce concise and accessible architecture artifacts and other technical documentation, as directed and on schedule. Operate in accordance with the legislative and the procedural requirements relating to procurement activities What's required: Demonstrated analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop original concepts and solutions necessary to deliver the enterprise information security architecture and the related artifacts.
Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of the principles of secure data communication and storage, and encryption and virtualising technology, together with a practical understanding of security methodology and application. Demonstrated experience in delivering enterprise security architecture in a large enterprise. Demonstrated extensive technical expertise in a broad spectrum of technology areas including: - ICT infrastructure (both on-premise and cloud) - Networks - Operating systems - Storage - Middleware - Distributed applications - Database management systems - Virtualisation - Cloud....
