Sales Manager - Events - $90K S Bonus - 8 Month contract with perm potential
Company: Our long-standing client, based in St Kilda close to public transport, have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join their organisation on an 8 month mat leave contract with potential opportunity for permanent ongoing employment as they continue to grow and acquire new events and exhibitions. Reporting to the Group Event Director of a fantastic portfolio of events, you will be responsible for managing a team of 2 experienced Sales Executives who have been working in the industry for many years. You will also be responsible for generating your own sales and sponsorship opportunities as well as assisting with key client account management.
Ultimately you will ensure that sales revenue goals and objectives are achieved for this event. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a sound understanding of your market segment Assist with driving sales strategy and planning Client relationship management Assist with sales and sponsorship opportunities for the event Client facing presentations Assist with event budget management Work closely with Event and Marketing Managers as well as other internal stakeholders Provide coaching, mentoring and training to the sales team General sales reporting Other ad hoc admin in relation to your role Skills and experience: Demonstrated B2B sales management experience â€“ 3 years minimum essential Previous experience in the events/exhibitions/conference space â€“ highly regarded; not essential Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and coach a team to success Strong and sound business acumen High level of attention to detail Ability to juggle multiple priorities High level of communication skills â€“ written and verbal Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines Demonstrated budget management Strong time management and organisational skills MS Office Ability to travel interstate on occasion may be required Demonstrated â€œhands on" approach Sound decision making capabilities Driven, self motivated and energetic This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a great event, with massive growth.
