Come and join the Team: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical / Electrical Fitter to join our engineering workshop team focused on the pneumatic and mechanical overhauls of locomotive braking and safety systems. Within this role you'll need to demonstrate a background in mechanical and electrical assembly as the daily requirements will see you involved in striping, reporting and rebuild projects across hydraulic and pneumatic units. They'll be elements of sanding, grinding and painting alongside being able to demonstrate your broad mechanical and electrical fitting knowledge in the assembly and dis-assembly of compressor units, valves and coupling systems.
Applicants with the following experience and skills are required Proven experience in a Mechanical environment (Engineering Workshop preferred) Trade Qualifications - Mechanical Fitter / Electrical Fitter / Machinist or Automotive Experience within locomotive maintenance overhaul and rebuilds (Desirable) Proactive attitude to Safe Working Practices To be considered for this role you MUST have the following WA Driving License and own transport Be able to pass a full Pre-employment medical including DAS Have a full unrestricted work rights in Australia- YOU MUST LIVE IN AUSTRALIA to be considered Trade Qualification - Mech / Electrical Fitter - highly desirable This is a great chance to join a national specialist who are continuing their WA growth plans having moved into a custom built facility in 2018. You'll be based in Kewdale and offered a Monday to Friday position with typical hours (06:00 - 14:00) alongside occasional overtime and penalty rate Saturday's where required.
