Guests are invited to explore the wilderness of the west coast as they cruise up the Gordon River and take a walk through the temperate rainforest of the Franklin - Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. Our two vessels have been purpose-built with the local environment and outstanding guest experience in mind.
Spirit of the Wild, a new Gordon River Cruises vessel features an Australian first, quiet cruising in World Heritage wilderness. Gordon River Cruises is located in Strahan, a small town and working port located approximately 4.5 hours from Hobart or Launceston.

We're seeking a casual Wilderness Cruise Guide to join us in delivering an exceptional experience to our guests. We are looking for people who can demonstrate: A passion for connecting with people: you love having a chat and telling stories Experience in theatrical performances or public speaking to deliver an engaging guest experience Exceptional customer service skills and experience Food and Beverage experience, including basic preparation and delivery of food and beverages A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate or ability to acquire Elements of Shipboard Safety (ESS) is essential Experience working with ropes and gang-ways to berth or moor a vessel, or ability to learn, is important for this role.
