You will work on diverse and exciting projects and shape the way we evolve, adapt and transform our industries. As part of the Engineering & Asset Management group you will provide Mechanical engineering design services and provide safe, reliable and efficient technical expertise to the business, in line with industry practices and UGL policies. This is a casual based position situated in our Melbourne office.
About the role Ensure all aspects of the mechanical engineering design effort are delivered on time, cost effectively and fit for purpose for the project and business requirements. Active member of the design team working to produce technically acceptable standard of work and design deliverables. Ensure documentation of appropriate standard is provided to update all relevant Engineering, Operational and Maintenance databases on project completion Manage specialist external resources where required to meet the project deliverables About You You will thrive on stepping up to a problem others couldnâ€™t take on, or an opportunity that inspires new solutions.
Ideally you will have: Mechanical Engineering tertiary qualification Registered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and RPEQ qualified. Significant detailed engineering experience within an engineering contracting or consultancy organisations in the resource sector, oil & gas and/or petrochemical industries. Experience in a brownfield project environment.
Detailed knowledge of Australian & International codes and standards, good engineering practice and the applicable statutory requirements with respect to fuel tanks & piping works.
