Procurement Analyst

The Opportunity In this role your key objective will be to deliver the best value for money in the categories under management.

You will be analysing spend across the business as well as the management and co-ordination of Tender, Contract and Vendor reviews. The principal tasks of the role include, but are not limited to: Strategy & Planning Analysing spend across the group, with a focus on Technology and provide recommendations and take actions to improve outcomes for GPT Formulate and implement category strategy, spend forecast and plans in line with procurement strategy and objectives Category / Supplier Management Evaluate potential suppliers for adherence to GPT procurement standards and policies Developing effective procurement strategies for categories under management and deliver procurement solutions that create cost savings and ensure effective delivery of services Performing baseline spend analysis, understand specific business requirements, research and assess the market and manage risks related to supplier procurement Providing advice to internal management and teams on the most effective approach to procuring suppliers and ensure adherence to corporate procurement guidelines. Data Maintenance Maintaining all information relating to contracts, tenders and benefits databases and ensuring contract expiries are managed in an appropriate timeframe Reporting Coordinating monthly spend analysis, preparing information and distributing to relevant stakeholders Providing quarterly reports on categories under management including supplier tiering and joint deliverables Experience, Qualifications & Key Capabilities 3 – 4 years’ experience in a similar position or within procurement Proven understanding of the technology vendor marketplace and technology category management Proven experience maintaining and managing suppliers for enterprise goods and services Intermediate-Advanced proficiency Microsoft Office suite of programs Adobe Acrobat – Intermediate SAP – Working knowledge What are the next steps?
