This is a strategic initiative to spread our acquisition capability across critical undertakings but also to provide an attractive proposition to the defence industries' finest talent to keep stimulated and engaged in best practice systems engineering. About the Opportunity In this role, you will: Be deployed to critical Defence programs to supply requisite systems engineering rigour, best practice benchmarks and discipline leadership Develop and manage system requirements and design including system and subsystem specifications, product breakdown structure, design documentation, component and interface specifications Perform system engineering activities including requirements management, functional analysis, candidate solution development, system design, system analysis, integration, Verification and Validation, acceptance testing and certification Embrace and champion the transition towards a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology across the business Participate in ensuring that designs meets all statutory and regulatory requirements Perform analyses to define and characterise the system and its components Utilise domain, discipline and systems engineering knowledge to enable, support and deliver products robustly, demonstrating they meet their requirements and are fit for purpose Develop and execute Verification and Validation activities to ensure that the implemented designs conform to their specifications Independently review the engineering team's work, identify technical risks and unknowns Conduct engineering task estimation and planning activities Provide engineering status and metrics reporting About you As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have: The ability to obtain or already hold an Australian Defence Clearance Experience in an ASDEFCO....
